From farm equipment to powersports leader in Abitibi

RS Lacroix began its journey in the late 1960s under the name Équipement Agricole Lacroix, founded by Roméo Lacroix after many years working in the agricultural field since 1955. Focused first on selling and repairing farm equipment, the business quickly became a trusted name for people in Amos and the Abitibi region.

In 1990, Roméo’s son Steve joined the team, and in 1995 the company officially became Équipement R.S. Lacroix, highlighting the strong father-and-son partnership. That same year, the business moved to a new location on Principale Sud, marking a major step toward the powersports world.

Growing into a complete powersports and trailer destination

Over the years, RS Lacroix added key brands such as Kawasaki, then Honda and Arctic Cat, and expanded into boats and Mirrocraft fishing models. In 2005, the dealership was completely refreshed with a new showroom and a stronger focus on open, enclosed and utility trailers.

Today, RS Lacroix offers one of the largest selections of new powersports vehicles in Abitibi, featuring leading brands like Can-Am, Ski-Doo, Lynx, Honda, Kawasaki and NN Trailers. Whether you’re shopping for an ATV, side-by-side, snowmobile or motorcycle, our team is here to match you with the right model for your lifestyle and budget.

On the trailer side, we provide high-quality options, including galvanized steel trailers for extra peace of mind, as well as custom-built trailers thanks to close relationships with manufacturers such as Bravo Trailer, Idéal Cargo and Interstate.
